This article states that "Intoximeters is blaming the blood lab." This is not true. Intoximeters thought that the scientific approach to determing the cause of the descrepency would include learning more about the chain of evidence surrounding the identification of the blood donor, blood collection process, storage of the sample, transporation of the sample, the testing process, proficiency records for the blood analyzer and qualifications of the lab technician. Similar questions had already been asked of the breath test process and both Intoximeters and the interested 'expert' agreed that nothing was wrong with the breath test.

You might want to add to your list of what may have gone wrong with the EC-IR test in Wisconsin a number 8. The blood tested was not the defendant's blood. The case came out of our county. The defendant plead to OWI not speeding.
